Spring Transition

Friday, February 27th, 2009

Autumn Cashmere’s collection is the perfect way to transition into spring. There super soft, incredibly comfortable pieces are amazingly gorgeous in color, quality and feel. They are great pieces to wear while it is still a bit cold out, you can layer them and bundle and look attractive! Plus, they make adorable jeweled cashmere slippers that I am in love with right now!

A perfect vision

Brian Reyes Fall collection has a 70’s disco vibe as well as a refined 50’s glimpse; it is a dressed up, put together look, with rich fabrics, lots of texture and a touch of metallic. I love his easy wearable style that is so Hollywood glam with some interesting modern twists. His pointed pant hem is incredibly alluring; I love the small details, the ankle length pant and the tailored aspects to jackets and tops. Reyes entire fall collection is one to keep in mind.

Christian Dior

Christian Dior and his new look of the hourglass silhouette revolutionized fashion. Women wanted a “new look” after the Second World War; they were ready to step out of their hardships and into sexy, voluptuous dresses, they wanted a beautiful image and Dior was that image.

Today the hourglass silhouette is one of the most flattering shapes women can wear. It is one of my favorites; it accentuates the waistline and creates stunning layers of fabric. Here are two of my favorite Dior images.

Prague

One of the most incredible cities in Europe: Prague is filled with many facets of mystery. It is one of the only European cities that have references of all different architectural eras since it was not harmed in the world wars. You can view the Gothic styles and the steeples, the cubist geometric as well as the red rooftops that grace the city with color. Prague was a very inspiring trip. The steeples are like a beautiful copper patina. The cathedrals and shops were filled with Czech glass that is so wondrous you cannot help but to take in every moment of its beauty. Here are a few photos from my last trip.
