Fellini 8 1/2 a film that is completely surreal

Okay, for me this film is all about the fashion, the Christian Dior pinned in waists and the huge cat eyes with extreme liner. The style is very chic and a little absurd, but so entertaining. Of course this movie is the Italian classic with the much anticipated Nine on the way with many A-list actors. It is about a film director and his gradual loss of reality to put it lightly. I love foreign films and especially those that are weird, it is good to step out and watch something so artistic.

Rodarte sisters Kate and Laura are so inspirational. I love how they photo their inspirations from their travels around the US. I find it really awesome that they road trip around the US, it is so cool to find landscapes that give them a world of insight and ideas. I also travel for inspiration, finding my creativity around beaches, this year is Chile. More to come on that later. For now, check out some images from Rodarte’s SP 10 show, they are so superb, the use of yarn and how they wrap it and mold it into these chunky neck pieces combined with whisper silks are stunning. The show is great too if you have time to watch!

Holiday style via Art Deco, how to dazzle this season

1. Hats give a sense of mystery and allure that is remarkable and memorable.

2. Gloves with cocktail rings are an Art deco must, they give the modern girl a touch of vintage beauty

3. Set the focus on your eyes with long and extended lashes, there is nothing that says sexy like incredible eyes

My current inspirations and visions for new designs, jewelry as metal and beaded dressing, body coverings and elaborate statements of adornment.

Jewelry creates a story and gives us layers to our dressing; it defines who we are and exudes our inner creativity. We express our inner state in our outer expression. Jewelry has meaning to the person wearing it and the person creating it. Each design represents layers and layers of contemplation.

A masquerade party is the perfect event for the holidays…

This holiday season be inspired like the crew at Refinery29 and throw a masquerade party. Masks are the perfect way to disguise, dress up and also look incredibly sexy. The key is to make sure everyone wears a mask, so, as the host, be prepared and giveĀ  away extra masks! I know my party will look like this one!
